John W. Milnor is a Professor of Mathematics at Stony Brook University and Co-Director of the Institute for Mathematical Sciences. He is renowned for his foundational work in Topology, Dynamical Systems, and Mathematical Physics. His research spans from early Differential Topology to recent studies in Complex and Real Dynamics.
