Dr. John V. Hegde is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He specializes in advanced radiotherapy techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), with a focus on breast cancer and central nervous system malignancies. His clinical expertise is complemented by research in state-of-the-art imaging to enhance cancer care.
- Education: Dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Indiana University, Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School, Residency at UCLA.
Research Interests center on clinical evaluation of multidisciplinary cancer treatments incorporating radiotherapy and innovative imaging approaches. His work spans central nervous system tumors, breast cancer, and radiation physics, with over 25 peer-reviewed publications.
