John Twombly

John Twombly is an Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs and Director of Undergraduate Programs in Business at Illinois Institute of Technology. He holds the rank of Clinical Professor of Accounting and Finance in the Stuart School of Business, and serves as Adjunct Faculty in Industrial Technology and Management at the Armour College of Engineering. His expertise spans finance, cost management, and financial accounting.

Twombly earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. in Accounting and Statistics from the University of Chicago, alongside a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a certified CPA in Illinois.

His research focuses on financial accounting and management practices. Twombly advises undergraduate programs in business and maintains affiliations across multiple schools at IIT.
