John Tropman is a Professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, where he has maintained continuous affiliation since 1965 after completing his joint PhD in Social Work and Sociology. His research and teaching focus on entrepreneurship in nonprofit contexts, social policy analysis, nonprofit board governance, and organizational decision-making systems. He currently co-chairs the committee organizing the School's 2021 centennial celebration.
