معرفی
John Sweeney is a Professor of Polymer Mechanics at the School of Engineering, University of Bradford. He joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1995 and has led EPSRC-funded projects on polymer constitutive equations, nanocomposites, and surface interactions during polymer processing. His work spans fundamental polymer deformation studies to industry-applied technology.
- Education: BA (Hons) in Mathematics and Physics (1974, University of Keele), PhD (University of Bradford, 1981)
- Key Collaborations: EPSRC-funded "Resilient Materials for Life" (RM4L) project with Cardiff, Cambridge, and Bath universities
- Research Expertise: Mathematical modeling (FEM), experimental approaches to polymer mechanics, and industrial applications
Notable Contributions: Co-author of two widely cited textbooks with I.M. Ward (combined 1,400+ Google Scholar citations) and developer of material models for commercial finite element software.
