John Schriever is a Visiting Professor of the Practice in the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management at Texas A&M University. With a 39-year career in professional sports, he specializes in ticketing, event management, and facility operations. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Ticketing and Event Services for the Houston Texans (2000-2023), Director of Ticketing at Texas Motor Speedway (1996-2000), and Director of Tickets for the Texas Rangers (1984-1996). He was also involved in ticketing operations for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Education: B.A. in Business Administration and Management from Stephen F. Austin State University (1983).
His expertise spans stadium operations, revenue generation through innovative ticketing strategies, and major event execution such as Super Bowls, college football games, and concerts. Schriever's career highlights include launching the NFL's 32nd franchise and overseeing NRG Stadium operations.
