John Patrick Leech

John Patrick Leech is a Full Professor at the Department of Interpretation and Translation, University of Bologna, specializing in English cultural studies, translation history, and public memory. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Sussex and has authored over 70 publications. His roles include:

• Member of UNA Europa's Self-Steering Committee on Cultural Heritage
• President of ATRIUM European Cultural Route (2014-2016, 2019-2022)
• Coordinator of METRA research group on translation and interculturality

Research Interests: His work bridges translation history, Irish diaspora studies, and dissonant heritage, with a focus on

• Revolutionary text circulation in 18th-century Europe
• Colonial/postcolonial memory in Britain and Ireland
• Political cosmopolitanism through linguistic mediation
