John Pappas is an Instructor in Entrepreneurship at Lake Forest College (2017–present), where he teaches courses like ENTP 110 (Innovation, Design Thinking, and Entrepreneurship) and ENTP 120 (Introduction to Entrepreneurship). He holds an MBA in General Management from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a BS from Drake University's College of Business and Public Administration.
Academically, he has also taught at DePaul University (2015–2017) and Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (1992–2017), focusing on Marketing and Leadership courses. Professionally, he served as Senior Vice President at Coleman Cable Inc. (1984–2014), leading Corporate Marketing and U.S. Retail divisions before transitioning to academia.
He is actively involved in leadership roles, including Chairman of the Board and Board Member at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (2004–present), and President of Chicago Collaborators (2014–present). His awards include multiple Distinguished Faculty Awards and the Contribution to Learning Excellence Award spanning decades.
