John P. Entelis is a Professor of Political Science at Fordham University and Associate Director of the Middle East Studies Program. He holds a Ph.D. from New York University and studied Arabic at the American University in Cairo, Harvard University, and Princeton University. His work focuses on the comparative and international politics of the Middle East and North Africa, with an emphasis on political elites, institutionalization, and the interplay between culture and politics.
