John P. Baugh

Dr. John P. Baugh is Professor and Chair of Computer Science / Computer Information Systems at Oakland Community College and an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He holds a PhD in Computer and Information Science from UM-Dearborn, along with MS and BS degrees in CIS from the same institution.

• Expertise in teaching and curriculum development
• Industry experience as a former Software Engineer at Siemens PLM Software (2007-2011)
• Author of educational books on C++ and data structures

Research and teaching interests span Software Engineering, Data Structures and Algorithms, Programming Languages (Java, C++, Swift, Python), Web Development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript), and Game Development with Unity and XNA. His informal instructional approach emphasizes clarity and practical application, making complex topics accessible to students.

Dr. Baugh maintains an active educational presence through his personal website (www.profjpbaugh.com) and runs a small software company called Frogspire. He is available for software development and instructional services.
