John P. (Pat) Willerton is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Arizona. His research focuses on comparative politics, with a specialization in Russian politics, political elites, semi-presidentialism, and relations with the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Former Soviet Union (FSU) countries. He teaches courses on Russian domestic politics, foreign policy, comparative political elites, and the general education "Politics of Happiness" lecture.
