John Murray

John Murray is an Adjunct Professor at the Spitzer School of Architecture, City College of New York (CUNY), where he has taught since 2011. He holds an M.Arch. from Harvard University (1998) and a B.Arch. from Cooper Union (1994), with additional Fine Arts training (1984–1987). His professional career spans over three decades, including founding caseworks, PLLC in 2000, specializing in architecture and building technology. Prior roles include Senior Project Manager at Bone/Levine Architects and Project Manager positions at Israel Berger & Associates and C&D Restoration Inc.

Professionally, Murray is licensed in New York and New Jersey, holds a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) certification, and is active in organizations like the AIA, New York Landmarks Conservancy, and Building Technology Educators’ Society (BTES). His teaching and practice focus on integrating design with technical and sustainable building practices.
