John Murray is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Maynooth University's Faculty of Science & Engineering. His research focuses on group theory, representation theory, and modular algebraic structures.
Education:
- PhD in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1998)
Research interests include symmetric and modular representation theory, Frobenius-Schur indicators, character theory, block theory with defect groups, and algebraic structures of finite groups. His recent publications explore topics like Euler's partition theorem, principal indecomposable modules, and centralizer algebras.
