Dr. John Martin Slattery is a Reader in Chemistry at the University of York, specializing in synthetic, structural, and mechanistic investigations of ionic liquids (ILs) and organometallic catalysts. His research spans homogeneous catalysis, alternative solvent systems, and novel electrolyte applications for energy technologies.
His group employs interdisciplinary approaches combining experimental and computational methodologies, with collaborations at Heriot-Watt University, Montana State University, and IST Lisbon. Current projects include EPSRC-funded studies on ionic liquid mixtures and European Commission-funded CCIMC research into molecular catalysis.
