John Lynham

John Lynham is a Professor of Economics at the University of Hawaii, jointly affiliated with the Department of Economics and the University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization (UHERO). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and M.A. in Ecology from UC Santa Barbara.

His research focuses on environmental and resource economics, with emphasis on marine conservation, fisheries management, natural disaster impacts, and experimental approaches to environmental policy. Fieldwork spans global contexts including Indonesia, Philippines, and Hawaii.

Recent publications demonstrate innovative applications of satellite imagery, neural networks, and field experiments to conservation challenges.
