John J. Foxe

John J. Foxe, Ph.D. holds multiple academic appointments at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD), including Professor in the Departments of Neuroscience, Neurology, and Psychiatry. He serves as Chair of the Department of Neuroscience and Research Director of the Ernest J. Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience. His research focuses on neurophysiological mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly autism and schizophrenia, with emphasis on sensory processing, multisensory integration, and developmental neurobiology. He employs advanced methodologies like neuroimaging, electrophysiology, and virtual reality to study neural bases of perception and cognition.
