John Huss

John Huss is a Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Akron and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioethics at the School of Medicine (Case Western Reserve University). His research spans philosophy of science, environmental philosophy, and the intersection of philosophy with popular culture.

His scholarly work focuses on bioethics and medical humanities, particularly in microbiome research and clinical ethics. A recent publication, Fecal Transplant Bioethics: Beyond Chicken Little (2017), explores ethical frameworks in medical biotechnology.

He presented on the future of microbiome research at the University of Sydney in 2018. His roles also include affiliations with the UH/CWRU Center for Clinical Ethics and the MetroHealth Center for Biomedical Ethics (CBME).
