Dr. John Hoag is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Akron's College of Engineering and Polymer Science. His academic journey includes a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Akron, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Integrated Systems Engineering, respectively, from The Ohio State University.
Before his current role, Dr. Hoag held academic positions at Ohio University, served as a professor and department chair at a private Virginia college, and acted as a center director at The Ohio State University. His professional affiliations include Senior Membership in the IEEE. He maintains an active research agenda and contributes to state-level advisory panels.
