John H. Flores

John H. Flores is an Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University specializing in Mexican American history. His research explores the intersections of immigration, labor, citizenship, and racial/national identity formation through transnational social movements.

• Created the largest historical census of Hispanic naturalization in the U.S. (1900–1940) for The Mexican Revolution in Chicago
• Current book project examines the relationship between American citizenship and violence in U.S.-Mexico border lynchings

He teaches courses on Latina/os, immigration, labor history, and race, connecting past social movements to contemporary diaspora communities.
