John Fobanjong is a Professor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences and the Department of Political Science. His research spans public administration, public policy, international relations, and comparative politics, with a focus on ethnic politics and Africa-related policy.
- Education: PhD in Political Science from the University of Arizona
- Teaching: Courses include Intro to American Politics (PSC 101), Intro to Comparative Politics (PSC 151), and Seminar in American Politics & Policy (PSC 400)
His publications include the book Understanding the Backlash Against Affirmative Action and chapters in Theory and Event and African Identities, addressing topics such as genocide in the Southern Cameroons, Cabral's Pan-Africanist vision, and public relations in Africa. He was appointed to the U.S. State Department’s Speakers’ Bureau for Africa-related engagements and received the Fulbright Fellowship (2009).
