John E. Gampher

Dr. John E. Gampher is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His research investigates the visual processing of motion, particularly interactions between different motion types (foreground/background, first-order/second-order) and the neural correlates of conscious visual perception.

His teaching portfolio includes courses in sensory processing, neuroscience, philosophy of science, and applications of psychological research to business and legal contexts. Before joining UAB, he completed his PhD at UAB following undergraduate studies at Florida State University.
