John Byrne is a Professor of Piano at the Royal College of Music (RCM) and Head of Keyboard at Wells Cathedral School. A highly accomplished pianist and educator, he holds prestigious fellowships including the FRCM (2022), awarded by HRH King Charles III. His career spans international performance, teaching, and jury roles in major competitions. Byrne studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, and Indiana University, with additional postgraduate work in Moscow and Paris.
