John Bruce is a Research Fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, affiliated with the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs. He currently serves as General Counsel at Field Effect Software Inc., a cybersecurity firm in Ottawa, Canada, and previously held a 20-year legal and policy advisory role at the Government of Canada Department of Justice focusing on cybersecurity and cyber operations.
