He has authored influential books and articles, including *Behavior Principles in Everyday Life* (4th ed.) and co-founded the website SexInfoOnline.com, a globally accessed resource on human sexuality.
Dr. Baldwin earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from Johns Hopkins University in 1967. His research emphasizes applying social learning theory to diverse areas, such as primate behavior and capitalist systems. Collaborations with his wife Janice and scientist Simon LeVay have produced seminal work on human sexuality and Mead’s theoretical contributions.
Baldwin teaches courses on socialization, human sexuality, and Mead’s pragmatism. His scholarship seeks to synthesize sociological thought and avoid academic 'science wars' by prioritizing empirical and theoretical coherence.
