John Ambrose

John Ambrose, MD, FACC, is a Professor of Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Fresno, where he also serves as Program Director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Program. He is internationally recognized as a pioneer in coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes, contributing foundational work on unstable angina, myocardial infarction, and vulnerable plaques. Previously, he directed the Cardiovascular Center at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in Manhattan and the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He has been featured in every edition of 'Best Doctors in America' and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). His research focuses on thrombosis, tobacco-related cardiovascular disease, and diagnostic imaging advancements. Beyond medicine, he is an accomplished singer, performing with the Fresno Grand Opera.
