Dr. John A. McClelland is Assistant Professor Emeritus of Anthropology at the University of Arizona and Lab Manager Emeritus of the Osteology Lab at the Arizona State Museum. His research examines human remains from archaeological contexts.
Current projects include analysis of historic cemeteries in Tucson, prehistoric Pueblo communities in Colorado, and Neolithic sites in Jordan. Research interests encompass osteological analysis, mortuary practices, and repatriation ethics.
