Rincke's research bridges theoretical economic models with practical behavioral insights through rigorous experimental methods. His work primarily explores how individuals respond to institutional designs in contexts of tax compliance, charitable giving, and academic integrity. His experimental approach combines laboratory and field settings to produce policy-relevant insights with high external validity. Recent work has expanded into gender dynamics in teams, remote work patterns, and educational interventions during the pandemic.
His publication record shows consistent output in top economics journals with a clear thematic progression from tax compliance to broader behavioral questions in public finance and education. Rincke frequently collaborates with European and American researchers, demonstrating strong international connections in the economics community.
Rincke's work has significant policy implications for tax administration, charitable fundraising, educational institutions, and workplace management. His experimental approach provides concrete evidence for designing institutions that encourage prosocial behavior while accounting for realistic human responses to institutional constraints.
As part of FAU's Department of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences, Rincke contributes to one of Germany's top 20 economics faculties according to Handelsblatt rankings. His research aligns with the department's strengths in empirical and interdisciplinary approaches to business and societal challenges.
