Johannes Kombe

Johannes Kombe serves as a Knowledge Exchange Fellow in the Department of Physics within the Faculty of Science at the University of Strathclyde, where he conducts cutting-edge research at the intersection of quantum physics and condensed matter systems.

His research program focuses on quantum metrology with neutral atoms, entanglement characterization in quantum systems, and engineered quantum materials. Key contributions include developing methods for creating entangled states using sparsely coupled spins, investigating chirality in one-dimensional nanowires, and characterizing quantum correlations in multipartite systems. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with experimental implementations in quantum hardware.

Dr. Kombe currently serves as Research Co-investigator for the STFC-funded project "CoSeC CCP Bridging: CCP-QC - extended case studies for neutral atom hardware" (2024-2026), working alongside Principal Investigator Vivien Kendon. This project represents significant grant funding for advancing neutral atom quantum computing hardware.
