Johannes Geitner serves as a Teacher for special tasks at the Sports Center of the University of Regensburg since 2016, affiliated with the Institute of Sports Science within the Faculty of Humanities. He is an active member of the Sports Pedagogy Working Group under Prof. Dr. Stefanie Pietsch.
His educational background includes a First State Examination for Teaching at Grammar Schools in Mathematics/Physics/Sports and a Diploma in Mathematics from the University of Regensburg (2011), preceded by studies from 2004-2011 in the same fields. He completed his Second State Examination in 2013 after seminar training at Asam-Gymnasium Munich.
Geitner's professional expertise centers on sports pedagogy, with teaching specialization in sports games, health-oriented fitness training, and winter sports. He coordinates GRIPS (Graduate Research and Innovation Program System) activities at the Institute of Sports Science and manages workgroup matters for the Sports Pedagogy team.
His practical teaching experience includes serving as a teacher at Parsberg High School from 2013-2022. At the University of Regensburg, he maintains an office in the Sports Center Building (Room 40.122) with appointments available upon request.
