Johanna Köpsén is a Lecturer at Linköping University's Department of Behavioral Sciences and Learning (IBL) and Department of Education and Sociology (APS). With a PhD in Pedagogy (2020) and a Master's in Social and Cultural Analysis (2009), her work bridges vocational education, adult learning, and educational policy.

Her research examines employer engagement in vocational training, teachers' interpretation of curricula in adult education, and the sociopolitical dimensions of Swedish higher vocational education. She analyzes how policy documents shape pedagogical practices and labor market alignment.
Recent publications explore curriculum transformation in adult education, marketization of teaching practices, and historical evolution of folk high school policies. She serves as Program Manager for the Vocational Teacher Training Program and Associate Editor for the Nordic Journal of Vocational Education and Training.
Previously, she worked as an Educational Strategist (2011–2016) and investigator (2010–2011), focusing on skills supply and educational reforms. Her teaching includes courses on vocational teacher training, adult learning, behavioral science, and human resources management.
