Johanna Geuder

Dr. Johanna Geuder is a Researcher at the Department of Anthropology and Human Genomics, Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich (LMU), within the Faculty of Biology. She is part of the Enard Group and focuses on stem cell biology, evolutionary genomics, and regenerative medicine. Her work involves generating and analyzing induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from primates to study developmental differences and evolutionary processes.

Her research interests include single-cell multiomics, organoid engineering (e.g., bone marrow organoids), and the application of advanced sequencing techniques like prime-seq and mcSCRB-seq. She investigates topics such as compensatory evolution in regulatory elements, glycogen metabolism differences across species, and the impact of bone marrow transplantation on regenerative capacity.
