معرفی
Johann Coraux is a CNRS researcher at Institut Néel, Université Grenoble Alpes, focusing on surface physics, 2D materials (notably transition metal dichalcogenides like CrTe2), and magnetic/structural properties of low-dimensional systems. His work bridges experimental and computational approaches, emphasizing epitaxial growth, scanning tunneling microscopy, and synchrotron-based spectroscopies.
- Education: PhD in Physics (CEA Grenoble/INAC, 2006), Agrégation in Physics (2002).
- Awards: Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship (2007–2008).
His research explores epitaxial 2D materials, magnetic frustration in van der Waals systems, strain/defect engineering, and moiré superlattices. Recent publications highlight collaborations on laser patterning of CrTe2, gate-tunable graphene qubits, and Cs-mediated decoupling of MoS2 from substrates.
Scientific awards include the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. His team, 2D quantum states with tunable interactions (QUAN2M), investigates hybrid quantum systems and correlated disorder in 2D materials.
He supervises PhD students working on topics like MAXenes, graphene superconductivity, and 2D organometallic architectures. His lab contributes to workshops like 2D@Grenoble and maintains UHV instrumentation clusters for epitaxial growth and characterization.
