Johan Holmgren

Johan Holmgren is a Professor of Transport Economics and currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Logistics at Molde University College - Specialized University in Logistics. He holds a PhD in Economics from Linköping University (2008) and has over 20 years of experience in academia, spanning roles such as Visiting Professor at Malmö University and Senior Lecturer at Linköping University. His research focuses on transport economics, including transport demand analysis, pricing strategies, infrastructure investment impacts, and public sector efficiency. Holmgren leads research projects on modal shift, infrastructure policy, and urban transport systems. He supervises PhD, master's, and bachelor's theses and contributes to cost-benefit analysis methodologies in logistics. His work bridges theoretical economic models with practical policy applications, emphasizing evidence-based decision-making in transport and urban planning.
