Johan Cassel Pegelow

Professor Johan Cassel Pegelow is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University. He holds a PhD from the University of Oxford (2020) and previously completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Business School. His research focuses on private equity, venture capital, entrepreneurial finance, and diversity within private markets. He teaches courses on Investments and Private Equity, and Leveraged Buyouts.

Outside academia, he is an avid climber and frequents Nashville’s climbing gyms.
