Joey Bradshaw is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, Anthropology and Philosophy at Augusta University's Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. His research focuses on African history, military alliances, and race dynamics during the colonial era.

His scholarly work examines military coalitions in the Middle Niger region during the late 19th century, combining historical and anthropological methodologies. Recent publications highlight the intersection of race, colonialism, and warfare in West Africa.
Bradshaw teaches undergraduate courses including United States History to 1877, Historical Research Methods, and specialized topics on the Islamic World. He actively participates in university service through the SGA Diversity and Inclusion Committee and outreach events like AU Major Fest and AU Preview Day.
