Joel Smith is a Distinguished Career Teaching Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Carnegie Mellon University’s Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences. His career spans philosophy of science, educational technology, and academic leadership, with appointments at The Claremont Graduate University, UCSD, Indiana University, and Allegheny College.
