Joel-Rasmus Remmel

Joel-Rasmus Remmel (b. 1989) is a prominent Estonian jazz pianist, composer, and Lecturer in Jazz Music at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Active for over a decade, he leads the Joel Remmel Trio and collaborates with ensembles like Janno Trump Clarity Ensemble, Liisi Koikson & Joel Remmel duo, and Raivo Tafenau Quartet. He also contributes to the Estonian Drama Theatre's "Lehman Brothers" production as a composer and performer.

• Education: Master's degree in piano from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (2014), studies at University of Gothenburg's Academy of Music and Drama (2011–2012)

Joel's work emphasizes beauty as transformative expression, blending jazz improvisation with classical influences. His compositions and performances span Baltic, Nordic, European, and global stages, including tours with the European Jazz Orchestra.
