Joel P. Flynn is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Yale University and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from MIT (2023) and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Cambridge (2017). His research focuses on macroeconomic theory, mechanism design, and business cycle analysis, with particular emphasis on strategic interactions, pricing mechanisms, and policy design.
His work spans topics such as nonlinear pricing, fiscal policy in networked economies, and the design of adaptive priority mechanisms in centralized markets.
