Joe Swift

Joe Swift is a Lecturer at the University of Manchester's Division of Cell Matrix Biology & Regenerative Medicine (L5). He holds a MSci in Chemistry from Imperial College London and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on mechanobiology, exploring how mechanical signals from the cellular environment influence cell behavior, particularly in aging tissues. Key interests include extracellular matrix dynamics, nuclear mechanotransduction, and proteomic responses to mechanical cues.
