Dr Joe Strong is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at Queen Mary University of London's School of Politics and International Relations. His research focuses on global health governance, particularly sexual and reproductive health rights, gender, power dynamics, and masculinities. He examines how data and evidence shape policy decisions in global health. His work spans multiple regions including the USA, Ghana, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Poland, with a focus on marginalized groups like LGBTQ+ communities and adolescents.
Joe holds a PhD from the London School of Economics, where he also taught in the Department of International Development before joining QMUL.
