Joe Hinshaw is the Director of the School of Media Arts and Design (SMAD) and a Professor at James Madison University, where he has taught since 2001. Previously, he served on the faculty at the University of Oklahoma, earning the Gaylord College Distinguished Teaching Award. His professional background includes roles at a PBS station and a production company in Washington, DC, where he contributed to an Emmy-winning syndicated program.
