Joe Gaston is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Instructional Sciences at the University of South Alabama’s College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS). He specializes in integrating technology into educational environments, with a focus on collaboration, reflection, and creativity. Gaston holds a B.A. in English Literature (1997), an M.A. in Teaching (2008), an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Technology (2013), and an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology (2015), all from institutions in Alabama and Florida.

Gaston serves on CEPS committees, including the Faculty Council and Curriculum Committee, and chairs the Division of Emerging Learning Technologies (DELT) within the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT). He is also actively involved in the Westside Buddy Ball League, a baseball program for individuals with special needs.
