Jodi Vittori is a Professor of the Practice and Co-Chair of the Global Politics and Security program at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (SFS). She also holds a non-resident fellowship at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Her expertise focuses on corruption, state fragility, illicit finance, and their intersections with U.S. national security.
- Education: PhD in International Studies (University of Denver), MS in Military Intelligence (Joint Military Intelligence College), BS in Aerospace Engineering (U.S. Air Force Academy).
Her research interests include counter-corruption strategies, defense policy, and transnational security challenges. She co-founded the Anti-Corruption Advocacy Network (ACAN), a global platform connecting 750+ organizations to combat corruption. Prior roles include U.S. Air Force service (Lieutenant Colonel), positions at Transparency International and Global Witness, and academic roles at the U.S. Air Force Academy and National Defense University.
Her career spans military operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other key regions, alongside NATO’s counter-corruption task force. She integrates field experience with academic analysis to address modern geopolitical challenges.
