Jocelyn RAUDE is a Professor at EHESP (École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique) in the Department of Human and Social Sciences (SHS). He holds a PhD in Psychology from Aix-Marseille University and an HDR (Habilitation to Supervise Research) from the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris. His research focuses on psychological and sociological factors of vulnerability, adaptation processes to health risks (e.g., emerging infectious diseases like Zika, Ebola, and COVID-19), and the impact of health controversies on public behaviors.
Key affiliations include:
- Co-head of the ANRS-MIE's "Respiratory Pathogen Transmission" Action Committee (since 2022)
- Member of the ARBOFRANCE Scientific Network Steering Committee (since 2020)
- Expert for HCERES, ANSES, and the European Union’s H2020 program
Major research programs include PERISCOPE (EU-funded pandemic response), ZIKALLIANCE (Zika virus control), and RISCOVAC (vaccine risk perception study). He has led over 10 international projects, integrating social sciences with epidemiology to address health security challenges.
Teaching roles include directing the EHESP Master’s in Public Health (2017–2022) and leading core modules in Social/Behavioral Sciences for international public health programs. His expertise spans food safety crises, vector control strategies, and One Health approaches.
Awards include the 2018 French Red Cross Foundation Special Research Prize for contributions to health risk communication.
