Dr. Job van 't Veer is a Professor of Digital Innovation in Healthcare and Welfare at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. His research focuses on human-centered design of digital technologies for vulnerable populations, including individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or dementia. He actively collaborates with over 40 healthcare organizations and companies through initiatives like SIA SPRONG FAITH research and networks including HEALTHNoord and Pilot Project for Digitally Accessible Care.
His work emphasizes design-based research, integrating clients, residents, and professionals into innovation processes. He co-authored the widely adopted textbook Designing for Care and Welfare and leads the Health & Wellbeing research group, which aims to empower children, the elderly, and people with disabilities through technological solutions.
