معرفی
Dr. Joanne Bennett is an ARC DECRA fellow at the Fenner School of Environment & Society, Australian National University. Her research focuses on understanding how climate and land-use changes impact species distributions and ecosystem functions, particularly plant-pollinator interactions and their effects on plant reproduction. She leads projects investigating the links between pollinator communities and plant reproduction under anthropogenic pressures.
Her research integrates physiology, community ecology, and evolutionary history to study direct and indirect effects of habitat and species interaction changes. Key areas include climate change impacts on pollinators, thermal tolerances of organisms, and biodiversity conservation strategies. She has contributed to major databases like EuPPollNet and GlobTherm, advancing global understanding of ecological networks and thermal biology.
Scientific Awards:
- ARC DECRA Fellowship (2022-2026)
Grants & Projects:
- Linking changes in plant-pollinator networks to plant reproduction (2022–2026)
- Historical collections as tools for quantifying long-term anthropogenic effects on plant-pollinator interactions (2023–2024)
Collaborations: Extensive international collaboration network, including co-authorship on databases like EuPPollNet with 98+ contributors.
