Joanna Szady

Dr. Joanna Szady serves as an assistant professor at the Department of Source Studies, Archival Studies and History Didactics within the Institute of History at the Faculty of Humanities, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Her academic work centers on Polish historical research with specialized focus on educational history, religious institutions, and women's societal roles.

Her research spans archival studies, the history of Catholic women's religious orders, and biographical methodologies in historical education. She has extensively documented the contributions of female congregations to nursing, childcare, and charitable works across Polish history, with particular emphasis on interwar scouting movements and women's emancipation.
