Joanna Sumorek-Wiadro

Dr. Joanna Sumorek-Wiadro is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Functional Anatomy and Cytobiology, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. Her research focuses on the therapeutic potential of coumarins in combination therapy with temozolomide for eliminating human glioma cells via programmed cell death, bridging biochemistry and cancer biology.

Her doctoral dissertation, awarded in 2022, explored molecular mechanisms in glioma treatment. She is affiliated with the Institute of Biological Sciences at UMCS and contributes to interdisciplinary research in pharmacology and biotechnology.
