Dr. Joanna Pye is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at Swansea University's School of Health and Social Care. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in child welfare, having worked as a field social worker and co-founder/manager of a residential childcare facility. Her expertise focuses on promoting positive outcomes for looked-after children, care leavers, and supervised birth family contact.
Teaching encompasses undergraduate and postgraduate modules in essential social work issues, therapeutic child work, research methods, and theoretical perspectives.
