Dr. Joanna Miksa serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Ethics within the Faculty of Philosophy and History at the University of Lodz. She maintains regular office hours on Tuesdays from 13:45-15:15 and is actively engaged in academic research and teaching.
Her research focuses on several interconnected ethical domains:
- Ethical theory and moral philosophy
- Philosophy of law and legal theory
- Medical and bioethics
- Public sphere ethics and citizenship
- Liberalism and political philosophy
- Ethical issues in public policy
Dr. Miksa's scholarly work addresses contemporary ethical challenges including abortion, pornography regulation, medical ethics, and civic education. She has published 19 academic works and supervised at least one thesis, demonstrating her commitment to both research and academic mentorship in the field of philosophy.
